So, a couple days ago I was randomly thinking “You know, I haven’t posted anything super ‘lifestyle-ish’ in a while” and it got me thinking about some post ideas I could do that would go along with my lifestyle niche. Then I thought “Why not just do a post about how I wish my life could be?” And that’s how I decided to make today’s post. I know, genius, right? *takes a bow*
Anywho, today I will be sharing a routine for my day to day life (when it goes right) and things I like to do each day to be productive and get stuff done. So without further ado, let’s get right into it!
7:00 A.M. | Rise & shine! I’m an early(-ish) bird and like to get up around 7:00 so I can start my day before most of the world is awake.
7:00-7:10 | I’ll say a quick prayer for a good day, stretch in bed to warm up my muscles, and then get up and start my day.
7:10-7:20 | I usually lay out my outfit the night before so I can get dressed with no hassle in the morning. Then I’ll put away my pajamas and make my bed before I head downstairs to the kitchen.
7:20-7:45 | Every morning, I do this amazing thing called oil pulling before I eat or drink anything. It’s basically swishing coconut oil in your mouth for about 20 minutes. (I know it sounds weird – just hear me out) I swear this does *wonders* for your gums and is a great way to naturally whiten your teeth. I always check phone and listen to music while I’m oil pulling and then brush my teeth after my 20 minutes are over for super clean, white teeth.
7:45-8:30 | Next, I cook a hearty breakfast (usually oatmeal and berries or a breakfast sandwich) and make some warm lemon water for hydration and detox. I’ll eat my breakfast outside and take my vitamins with my mom’s homemade Kombucha.
8:30-9:00 | After a delicious breakfast, I will continue my productive morning by doing a little grooming. I’ll go through my morning skincare routine and then brush/style hair.
9:00-10:00 | I usually have a certain task I want to finish each day, so I have time reserved in the morning to complete that task. It feels great to get your priorities knocked out so you don’t have to worry about them for the rest of the day.
10:00-12:00 | Next, I’ll finish any work or blogging I need to catch up on.
12:00-5:00 | I love to meet up with friends and go shopping or just hang around in my free afternoons. Otherwise, I’ll keep myself busy at home.
5:00-5:30 | I usually workout right before dinner and do my favorite full body workout routine that I found on Pinterest. (I’ll have to share it with you guys in another post – it’s amazing!)
5:30-6:00 | After my workouts, I’ll eat a nutritious dinner with the fam. (Fun fact: After exercising for 30 minutes, you can be burning calories doing pretty much nothing for two hours after your workout! Hense the reason why I workout before I eat. ;))
6:00-8:00 | I’ll use this time to finish any work that still needs to be done. If I’ve completed everything on my to-do list for the day, I’ll read, watch my favorite shows on Netflix, or browse around Pinterest.
8:00-8:45 | I love to take evening walks with my mom and dog, Merphy, around the park or downtown. It’s a great way to get outside and spend time with my family!
8:45-9:15 | When I get home, I’ll take a quick shower, possibly pamper myself to a face mask, and then get ready for bed.
9:15-10:00 | I’ll wind down for about 45 minutes prior to going to bed. I usually do my daily journaling, read, listen to music and chill for a little bit in this time.
10:00 P.M. | I’ll say a quick prayer thanking the Lord for a great day and then hit the hay.
That right there my friends is what I wish my days were like all the time. I mean look at it! It’s so organized and I just love it. I try to stick to this schedule during breaks and weekends so I keep up my productivity even though I don’t have school. If you want to use some of my ideas from this schedule or make your own, be my guest! In fact, I’d love to see that happen!
Also, my apologies for not posting for a while. I’m working super hard on my design business and branding my own blog. (and so far it’s looking pretty sharp ;))
