Why I Love Me Tag

intro.jpg

*blasts Hamilton in the background* Welcome back to the blog, my friend. Like the new look? :))

Well, I have some news: I graduated last week from middle school. (Chill guys – I’m not off to college yet. xD). Since then, I have gotten braces (which feel amazing), remodeled my blog design once again (you saw it coming), and scheduled posts for the rest of the month. *looks accomplished*

Also, I apologize for disappearing for so long. My stress level has been through the roof lately with all of the end of the year madness. However, thanks to summer vacation, I am back with some great blog post ideas and a plan to make up for my time away (that includes a more frequent posting schedule *yay*).

Alrighty, here are the rules for this tag:

  • Acknowledge the blogger who inspired you.
  • Leave a link to the original tag creator (ThoughtfulTash) to get a bit more info about why this tag has been made!
  • List 10 things you love about yourself and why.
  • Spread more self-love with compliments to each other in the comments! The more love the better!

Soo first off, huge thanks to Najida @ The Average Gurl for inspiring me to do this tag! Guys, her blog is #goals, honestly. *swoon* 😍 You need to follow her.

Heeere we go!

1. I love being short.

In case y’all didn’t know, I’m a shorty. The average height of an American teenage girl is 5ft 4in, and I’m whopping five feet tall. (#verticallychallenged)

I don’t mind being short though: I can still pretend to be a child and get discounts on things, wear heels and not tower over people, and nobody can look up my nose and tell me I’ve got a bat in the cave. Life’s pretty great.

2. I love my long, curly hair.

My hair is one of my most prized possessions. My astrology sign is Leo (the lion), and let’s just say that I am very passionate about my mane. My hair is a natural wavy/curly mess, but I appreciate how low maintenance it is. I just use a lotta product on it to tame the wildness, finger-comb it, and slay all day.

3. I love my flaws and imperfections.

I am by no means a perfect child – I am full of flaws everywhere from my appearance to my bad habits. I am constantly trying harder to accept my imperfections and stop worrying about changing myself to help boost my self-esteem. And I feel writing this tag has definitely helped me get that little confidence boost that I needed.

4. I love my one in a million personality.

I’ll admit, my personality is pretty unique. Most of the time, I’m pretty positive, outgoing, and hyper to the point where you can’t get me to shut up and stop smiling – I have a lot to be happy about! I am good at making people smile and laugh (which is another thing that I love about myself) and I enjoy sharing positivity to those who need it.

5. I love my body and my confidence.

I love the body that God gave me. Society may tell you that the only way to be beautiful is to be skinny and have that tall, lean model body, but I strongly disagree with this. I think that the way to best way to show you are beautiful to radiate confidence and not let anyone bring you down. Chin up princess, or the crown slips. I am lucky to have the confidence level that I have, and I hope to share it with other people who may need a little boost.

6. I love having a strong faith in God.

I have always been thankful for having such a strong relationship with God. Life has never been all sunshine and rainbows, but I have stayed faithful through it all. God has marvelous things laid out for me in my future. It’s up to me to trust him fully with everything I have and my life. I pray for people who need hope and comfort and that they seek shelter in God because his love never ceases to amaze me and I want everyone to feel that way.

7. I love my life and all my blessings.

I am so incredibly blessed in my life. I have all the things I need to live a healthy life and have never been deprived of something I need to survive like food or clean water – That in itself is a huge blessing. I also have a loving family, an education, and so many other things that people all over the world dream to have. I try to never let a day go by when I don’t acknowledge these countless blessings I have and express my gratitude.

8. I love my inner musicality.

I am a dancer, singer, and music addict. I feel at my best listening to music or bustin’ a move to my favorite songs. Music is my caffeine. Honestly, I love it so much and it makes me happy whenever I listen to it.

9. I love my long eyelashes and full brows.

I’m am blessed with some amazing brows and healthy, long lashes. They are one probably the part of my appearance that I get complimented on the most and I am always happy to have them. (*Beauty hack: use castor oil on your lashes and brows. It works wonders, believe me.)

10. I love my positivity.

Me on a regular basis.

I am a happy, little human being and I flipping love making people happy. ‘Nuff said.

And there you have it – the things I love about myself! If you enjoyed this tag, feel free to do it yourself! I’d love to see other people spreading the self-love! I can’t wait to share some more posts with y’all this summer, but for now, peace out.

care to chat

You ready for summer, or are you out on vacation yet? Did you enjoy this tag and maybe (I’m hoping) want to do it yourself? I’d love to hear from you! :))

  1. I am a short one as well. #verticallychallenged lol, but Congratulations for graduating from middle school, you don’t understand how happy I was when I graduated from middle school a couple of years ago, I would also tell you brace yourself for high school, but then again seeing how organized you are with your blog, I have no doubt that you will succeed in high school. Enjoy your summer and I am loving the design!

  2. Love the new design! And girl, your bubbly personality always puts a smile on my face. I wish I could be as positive as you, but I’m really not! 😛 I also wish I was more outgoing haha. But yes, a lot of us are SOOOO blessed with healthy food, water, clothing, shelter, education, etc. and it’s important we realize that! And YAS FOR INNER MUSICALITY. *high fives* I’m a dancer and a pianist, and my dance teacher always says I have great musicality. 😉

    1. MAY THIS COMMENT MADE ME SMILE SO MUCH YOU ARE AMAZING. 💕 You definitely inspire me with your posts always on time (which is not easy to do), the voice you use in your writing, and how kind you are to their people. And OI YEAH. Music is my life. I bet you have great musicality, too! 😉

  3. I’m short too! I can’t wait for summer, it’s a time to really grow your blog and spend more time on it. I love the positivity that you radiate on your blog, and in this post! The new design looks cool.

  4. Oh my gosh, your new design is so gorgeous! I loved reading this tag and think we need more self love instead of self doubt.

  5. Great post! Do you want to swap buttons?

Castor oil? I’ve never heard of using that before… 😉

  6. I’m super short as well. Lots of ups and downs to it! You sound like a wonderful beautiful caring and amazing person. <3 🙂 If I were nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award, I would certainly nominate you!

    1. I completely agree: Being short is fabulous amiright, but it definitely has its downs. 😂 And thank you!! That is so sweet of you to say. 💕

      1. Yes! Like when somebody younger than you won’t listen to you because they think you’re younger than they are. 😛
        You’re very welcome! <3

        1. Or that awkward moment when you talk to someone’s parents and they don’t know you and you say “Hey! I go to school with your daughter.” and they say “Oh, are you two grades below her?” and you’re just like “Umm no I’m in her class.” The struggles. xD

          1. HAHAHAHAHA! XD
Or the awful moment when your friends are talking to someone, and that person only talks to them because they think you are like six years old. XD (actually that’s probably because I’m pretty shy 😛 )

Mind sharing your thoughts?
